8 pages., Via online journal., Online, direct selling (ODS) has become the leading way that people acquire goods, with Amazon (Seattle, WA) being the largest online vendor in the United States. This study sought to determine if horticultural businesses were engaging in ODS with Amazon, ebay, and other websites. Researchers examined the ODS activity of 498 businesses using quantitative content analysis methods, and found that 93 horticultural industry businesses were conducting some form of ODS through their websites, but only four offered products on Amazon. Results indicate that ODS remains an untapped marketplace for the horticultural industry, particularly for small, rural businesses.
9 pages., Article #:3FEA4, via online journal., Extension professionals across disciplines are involved with farmers' markets, and reports have indicated an increase in the number of farmers' markets across the country. We explored perspectives of farmers' market leaders regarding topics and data of interest and capacity and willingness to collect data related to market promotion. The purpose of our work was to provide Extension educators with information that may guide programming around farmers' markets. We collected data through an online survey of Wisconsin farmers' market leaders in spring 2017. Market leaders were most interested in learning how to encourage word-of-mouth communication between customers and engage in other low-cost strategies, such as having partners help promote a market.

e-ISSN: 2455-6270; p-ISSN: 2455-7455, In India even today more than half of the population is involved with agriculture thus making it the primary and important activity. Since most of the Indian population still lives in rural regions, so for this reason agriculture and related activities constitute the major source of revenue. Nonetheless, irrespective of the government's numerous efforts, there is still a huge disparity between a farmer's actual investment and the return on investment. As a result, the purpose of this research is to investigate the numerous factors
which impact farmers' attitudes about agricultural produce marketing. The study revealed that the majority of farmers belonging to the study region are low-income subsistence farmers who are more susceptible to agricultural hazards. Substantial farmers have better access to financing, but they do not contact financial institutions because of their large precautionary reserves.
10 pages, In this paper, we evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on farmers market (FM) sales across the United
States during the 2020 operating season using survey responses from 420 market managers. Using
a multinomial logit model, we evaluate how certain market characteristics are associated with increased probabilities of market organizations gaining or losing revenue in 2020. We find that
SNAP sales changes, market location, and COVID-19 intensity impacted revenue outcomes. State COVID-19 policies for FM and the existence of FM assistance organizations had less of an impact.
