The program was carried out through a joint contract between the U.S. Agency for International Development, the University of Illinois, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The contract involved (a) a University of Illinois agricultural communications specialist assigned to Jordan for two years as "chief of party in the new Agricultural Information Office, (b) three short-term consultants supporting specific communications specialties in the new office, (c)four persons selected as staff members of the new office trained in agricultural communications for seven months at the University of Illinois, and (d) new staff members returned to Jordan accompanied by one of the short-term University of Illinois consultants. File includes the goal, contract, correspondence, planning, operations, samples of information produced, and final reporting.

Describes a new staff organization plan that discards the concept of media editors and adopts a concept of (1) department editors, (2) field editors and (3) development leadership (that is, development in radio and television, press services, and teaching and research).
Reports results of a national survey among experiment station editors about their present information organization and their suggestions about how they would like their present setup changed for more efficient operation. Seventy-eight percent cast their vote for a coordinated setup (involving agricultural research, extension and possibly resident instruction). Fifty-four percent of respondents operated currently in a coordinated setup and like it; 24 percent operated in a decentralized arrangement but wanted to change.

Report based on a nationwide survey to learn about sources of photographs,uses of photographs, who takes photographs, usefulness of photo training for extension agents and specialists, staffing, filing systems. "As nearly as could be determined, four states (Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Colorado) employ what might be termed staff photographers in the sense that they seemed to be at the command of the editor, and not just college or university photographers working occasionally for the editor."
