Findings indicated that for most people, especially the young, the internet provides a new and exciting source of entertainment and a way to communicate with others. It also represents a place where people can find information that is difficult to procure from the traditional media and where they can express their own opinions. More users (51 percent) than non-users (42 percent) said they believe the internet will make the world a better place.
