INTERPAKS; see also C00586, C00587, London: Overseas Development Institute, Agricultural Administration Unit, 1979. (Discussion paper 1). 34 p., Describes past and present practical organization of Botswana's agricultural extension service. Shows the new structure comprised of three main departments: veterinary, agricultural research, and agricultural field services. The most essential change was that all farmer contact, extension and schemes to help farmers were to be organized by of through offices with territorial responsibility. Describes the detailed records that will be kept, the monthly program of the agricultural demonstrators and their report on achievement, the procedure for preparation of annual plans, and the evaluation of the system. Botswana's system differs from the T&V system in its view of the working role and function of the demonstrator himself.
